Discussing the latest development in J i, the 13uhl chute of ore recently opened , up on the 900-foot level. Superintendent j : Raddatz said yesterday that he had drifted Into it for thirty-five feet, and ti that with ore on top, sides and bottom, j there is everything to indicate its dej velopment Into one of, If not the largest , h body that has been opened up in the I 1 property. Assays on the ore show from J ' -12 to 45 per cent lead, with an average l f ' ' of about 22 ounces silver per ton. With these metallic contents and the' ores occurring In such a largo body, It be-', be-', ' comes, of course, a shipping propo sition, and with active stoping in that locality the earnings for November j should show a material gain. Mean- ' while the usual amount of second-class i ore Is passing through the crushers at the mill, the usual volume of hlgh- J grade concentrates Issuing from its ' , tables. The long drain tunnel is now ; approaching Its 7000-foot station, with ! good progress being made, notwlth- ,-! ytanding the heavy flow of water. and with the connections with ore t, bodies for which it Is headed effected, the output of lead ores in this State t will have been materially increased. |
