Show WEBER LOOKS REPUBLICAN. So Much Scratching Done That Result Uncertain at This Writing. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Nov. 8. Up to tho preaont timo it looks as if the Republican tlckot had swept Webor county. Comploto returns re-turns have been received from only about a dozen precincts, all but three or four of which are outsldo tho city, and Howoll for District Judgo Is leading Rolnpp, Dora., by a substantial majority. The city, however, has scratched terribly all day and It would not be surprising if Rolapp was elected. Outside of this tho Republicans appoar to havo elected the entlro ticket. Holllngsworth for Stato Senator and Stanford for Commissioner are running behind their ticket, but both nro undoubtedly undoubt-edly olocted. Tho count in tho city ha-s been exceedingly slow, duo to the vast number of scratched ballots, and as tho city decides the election It will not be determined beforo daylight whether Howell How-ell or Rolnpp ha3 been elected. Out of soven precincts In tho county and two In tho city Howell has 520 and Rolapp ISO, a majority of 40 for tho Republican Re-publican nominee. Country precincts are nil going overwhelmingly Republican, but it is predicted that Rolapp will gain heavily heav-ily on tho scratched ballots In the city. d |
