Rankin this afternoon shipped a carload of oro, probably twenty-eight tons, to the Denver smelter, which Is no doubt tho richest ore ever sent out of this county, says tho Republican of Rawlins, Wyo. The ore was taken from his mine six miles north of Rawlins, and the most conservative estimates on the value of tho car aro from $1200 to S1500. That the property Is showing up among the best Is not disputed, and It will undoubtedly provo to be a great mine. Mr. Rankin has two export men working all the time, and they aro now In an Immense body, tho extent of which they aro Unable to determine. Mr, Rankin Is to be congratulated congratu-lated upon his good fortune, and every one hopes ho will realize a good sum on the shipment. A great deal of the oro will run 50 per cent copper. Ho will go to Denver to sec the ore trcnted. |
