Show EASTEBN OBSERVATIONS ON THE HONERINE A field representative of the Engineering Engi-neering & Mining Journal who has been studying the Honerlne mines and mill at Stockton, writes: "A system of veins between quartzitc and blue lime show oxydlzed ore above water level, and heavy sulphides at and below water level. The flow of water from the tunnel, about 3C00 gallons gal-lons of water per minute, Is ample for milling. E. J. Raddatz zis general superintendent. The new Honerlne mill, having a capacity of 450 tons in twenty-four twenty-four hours, Is near the portal of tho main tunnel. The machinery includes a Ran,d cross-compound air compressor for the drills. The ore Is crushed by a No. 4 Gates crusher and two sets of rolls, sized by screen jigged, classified and concentrated on tables. The overflow over-flow slimes from all sources are classified classi-fied and settled In Sherman slime tanks. The products consist of various vari-ous grades of silver-lead concentrates, the bulk of the ore milled is oxides and carbonates, the great future of the mine being lnithe sulphide bodies to be. taken out through the main tunnel. |
