It was expected ex-pected that all of the members of the Utah fair commission would be In attendance at-tendance at the opening, but now it looks like Commissioner Willis Johnson of Clrclevllle would .be the only other member present. Director General Whittaker of the Utah exhibition is now in St. Louis. Prof. H. S. Cummings, director of the Utah educational exhibit, who, at the present time is in the World's Fair city, writes that the Utah exhibits, with the exception of the educational display, are as far advanced for the opening as those from any other State. All of the work, ho says, has been delayed de-layed by the recent severe snowstorms The professor congratulates himself and this State upon his good fortune In being able to purchase twelve cabinets cabi-nets for the educational booth. Had Mr. Cummings not found the cabinets ready made it would have required about three months to have had thorn built under present conditions In the labor world at St. Louis. Mr. Cummings has found in talking with people there that a great deal Is expected from the schools of Utah and ho expresses the hope that the citizens of this State, and especially the teachers, teach-ers, will aid him In every way possible in fulfilling the high expectations that have been raised. The Utah educational education-al booth Is near completion. |
