O Health News A total of 531 cases of communicable com-municable diseases was reported report-ed to the Utah State Board of Health for the week ending Feb-1 ruary 14. This is an increase of 200 cases over the previous week. One hundred and fourteen cases cas-es of influenza were reported as compared with 66 for the previous pre-vious week. Sixty-two of these cases were reported from CCC camps; one located at Huntsville and the other at Moab. The 30 cases reported from the Huntsville Hunts-ville camp are boys who have recently re-cently arrived from Louisiana and were apparently exposed before be-fore leaving home. Two cases of diphtheria were reported from Salt Lake City. This makes a total of 10 cases reported from Salt Lake City and county since January 17, 1941. Of this group, 7 were children child-ren and three were adults. Only two cases were reported for the corresponding period one year ago. One case of infantile paralysis, a boy, age 11, was reported from Pleasant Grove. Whooping cough and scarlet fever both showed an increase over the previous week. Total for diseases are as fol- |
