| Show DEATH OF OLD RESIDENT George Triplett Succumbs to Weakness Weak-ness of Age George Triplett a resident of Salt Lake for nearly half a century died oC old age yesterday at his home 351 Fifth street The funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Twentieth Twen-tieth wad meetinghouse Mr Triplett was born In England Oc toocr 15 1S1C Ho came to America In ISnC and has since made his home In this city For many years ha was employed em-ployed at the DInwoodey furniture store He Is survived by his second wife and three daughters Mrs James Ellis Mrs Arthurs and Mrs Whitney The latter lives In Iowa One of his grandsons Is Horace Ensign the well known singer W A Hicks William A Hicks for many years a rcsfdent of Blnglmm died at the KcoghWrlght hospital last evening as the result of an attack of paralysis which suddenly took him about four weeks ago while on his way home from a visit to this city After being treated In Blngham for about a week It was deemed advisable to send him to the hospital and until last Sunday night he scorned as If he would recover re-cover when another and more severe attack came and on Wednesday he lapsed Into unconsciousness from which he never rallied except for a few moments at different times the last of which was on Saturday at 2 oclock when he awoke sufilclenlly to recognize recog-nize his two little children who visited himand this condition existed until laat evening at 616 when he breathed his lastThe The deceased was an Odd Fellow of many years standing and also a member mem-ber of the Knights of Pythias his membership In both these orders being In the Blngham lodges lie leaves two little children a boy and girl aged respectively 5 and 7 years His wife who was a sister of W O Curtis died about two years ago He has one brother Frank Hicks who with his family has lived In Blngham for many years The notice of the time and place of the funeral will appear In tomorrows papers James Parr James Parr for many years a rancher In Wyoming died yesterday at Holy Cross hospital of cirrhosis of the liver He was a native of England and was 67 years old The body will be shipped today to Riverside Wyo where the family resides Mr Parr leaves a wife and thrtcen children |
