Show LECTURE BY MISS RING Denver Teacher Speaks of Famous Women of French Salon Famous Women of the French Salon Sa-lon was the subject of L charming talk by Miss Helen Margaret Ring at the First Congregational church last evening Beginning with V Mme de I Ramboulllet and ending with Mme Secamier one by one the portraits of those brilliant women of the salon including in-cluding Mme dc Slrlgnl Mme de Lafayette ayette Mme de Geoficrn Mme Ro and and Mme de Steel were presented for the admiration of tic audience and so fascinatingly were they por raycd that her hearers would fain have lingered over the subject which grows more interesting a time advances ad-vances V Miss Ring is a pleasing speaker and her every word was followed with the closest attention of the audience Preceding the address Mrs L C Miller rendered a solo on the organ organ hlch was well received and Miss Sallie K C Fisher delighted the audience au-dience with the rendition o Still vie lie Naeht Bohm Vainkas Song Whlshuw and The Rosary Nevln The lecture was given under the auspices au-spices of the W C T U and was attended tended by an audience which comfortably com-fortably filled the lower floor of the church Miss Ring is from Denver and is teacher of literature in Miss lIss Wolcotts school for girls I |
