Show MRS YOUNG WAS INJURED Hurt by Falling from Street Car as Result of Collision It was claimed by the employees of the company Wednesday night that none of the passengers were injured in the collision on the Waterloo street carline car-line while a traveling man stated that two women were thrown out of car No 101 and that one of them was hurt when she struck the Ground The injured lady Is Mrs H S Young wife of the cashier of the Descret National bank who with her two daughters Miss Lisle Young and MFS Georgie were returnIng return-Ing to town Mrs Young when asked last night about the accident said The car was running at a rapid rate and a young lady on the front seat persisted per-sisted In talking to the motorman which I think caused him to not no thee how near the other car had ap proached When the motorman real ised the situation he applied the brakes He could easily have jumped and es capod Injury and I admire his bravery jn staying with his car My older daughter jumped as the cars came to gether but she was not hurl I was next to her and waa I think on my feet trying to shield Georgia so that the shock threw me out onto the ground I was bruised quite severely and sprained some but the extent of my injuries cannot yet be determined I have been confined to the house all day and have been unable to walk about I think there should be either a double track or more lights placed along the line as on a dark night St is dlfl cult to determine the distance of an approaching car |
