Show SAVED DROWNING BOY Joseph T Brennan Performed Rescue at Sanitarium By the heroic efforts of Joseph T Brennan a traveling man of Canton 0 the life of a venturesome Salt Lake I youth was saved at the Sanitarium yesterday afternoon Mr Brennan In I company with Jake Turner and Harry Clayburg two other traveling men i went down to enjoy a bath After they had enjoyed a swim they withdrew to the dressingrooms Just as Mr Bren I nan stepped out of his room his attention atten-tion was attracted by the screams for I help from a number of small boys on the opposite side of the pool one of whom had recklessly gone beyond his depth Mr Brennan rushed to the scene and Jumping Into the water after a hard struggle succeeded In getting get-ting the boy out Mr Brennan himself crawled to the platform looking like a drowned rat with his clothing drenched When Mr Brennan Beached the hotel where he is J staying he is said to have reminded one of Joseph and his coat V of many colors for he had been supplied sup-plied with a hat from one man a coat from another and trousers by still another an-other all of which his friends said fitted him not very well Mr Bran nan spent the early part of the evening even-ing accepting congratulations from his I friends for hIs brtive deed The young boy who would not tell his rescuer his name after dressing stepped up to Mr Brennan and tipping his cap thanked his rescuer |
