tho Tesorzr com properties at Tintlc has added panys propeltes Tintc another to the olio of strikes that have btjn registered there during the season sea-son and is exulting over ores on the SCOfoot level that yesterday showed as 415 I much cs ISS per cent copper ounces silver with fractional values I In gold per ton Of this class of ore said Superintendent Creighton who forwarded the samples eight Inches were then exposed In appearance tho oro is described as differing from anything I any-thing hitherto discovered In the property prop-erty and Is certainly of more sensational sensa-tional value that any encountered I Lying alongside but of softer material Is another streak of eight inches that should said tho superintendent afford Just as good values and samples of this will be sent In at once The oro was uncovered at n point 110 feet from the main working shaft on the Tcsora and the outlook Is extremely favorable I to a good hot In tho meantime the now strike on the 375foot level is proving prov-ing up nicely and the future of the I proposition Is now practically assured Indeed Superintendent Creighton la achieving excellent results and with tho ores now blocked out a steady production pro-duction should begin DALYWEST DIVIDEND I The Hegulor Twentyfive Cents n Share Payable August 15th Tho directors of the DalyWest I Mining Mi-ning company met In regular session yesterday morning when the August dividend of 25 cents a share or 37500 was posted for distribution on the 15th tho transfer books to close on Friday nat The payment of this amount will have Increased the total which has ben handed out to the shareholders to 157500 all since October 20th last when dividend No1 of 20 cents 0 share or 20000 was distributed In attaining attain-ing this total the company passed around an extra of 30000 during the holidays and another extra in Febru ary whon 37i > 00 with 75000 for that month was paid The series of strikes that have been made in driving the 1100foot level r distance of 1200 feet to connect with the main ore chute from thr 1200loot level and the tempting surplus which Is carried in the trcas iiry Induces many to believe that the amount of the dividend will be doubled dilrlng or before the holiday season I Indeed as many as four different ore chutes have beon encountered while I driving west on the level I while a line body of milling ore has been encountered encoun-tered on tho east and although the output out-put under the present administration and previous to it has been a heavy one Manager Bamberger reports more ore in sight than at any period in the history of the mine 1 1 THE ADVANCE IN LEA It i Now Slated at S4kPer Hundred Silver Up C Point Everything moved forward in tho metal market yesterday lead advancing advanc-ing I2jj cents per hundred pounds and ruling at J 1 as foreshadowed in The Tribune while silver moved up a point to G07 cents an ounce with copper gaining 0 point and ruling at 15 cents a pound In tho Eastern markets the rod metal has long shown an upward up-ward tendency although accusations have been mado by Eastern producers that certain trade Journals have beun trying to depreciate it by underquot ing the figures at which sales were really made According to a letter from New York authorities report a strong demand for domestic consumption and as for copper wire 0 leading manufacturer manufac-turer says the consumption Is not 10 000000 pounds less than last year on the entire years business Conditions throughout favorable to further advances ad-vances In lead and local producers promise an Increased production the present week At a number of mines notably the Petro at Bingham and the Uncle Sam at Eureka the bins have been full of lead ore for spme time and a heavy Increase in the receipts are re lied on by local buyers THE MILLIONDOLLAB SLTELTEB i j j Work on it is Being Pushed With Duo Energy and Skill I While nth work upon the construction con-struction of the American Smelting and Refining companys new 1000000 plant appears to be moving slowly n peep into the offices of those who have the mechanical features of the gigantic undertaking in hand discloses the fact that no grass whatever Is being permitted per-mitted to sprout under it and long before be-fore the close of the present month the throwing of dirt will have begun None but those who have the work in hand can appreciate perhaps the al most Infinite number of details that are embodied In the plans or the num ber of tracings required to round out this or that corner in a 1000000 plant The effort said 10000 plant eforl one of tho corps en S gaged upon the plans yesterday Is to present in such form as to do away with modification at the eleventh hour and to accomplish that much careful work Is required No science has made greater progress than has that ot famelting during the past few years nor ls there any that offers a greater g1cmlor number of economic devices I is this that the engineers engaged upon the IIIMV smelter are seeking to take advantage ad-vantage of and as suggested the re suit must affect the producer as much ae the found r3 of the plant Indeed every dime saved In the actual smelt 1 ing or reduction of the ors snail be shared hy the producer said tho vice president of the company the ocd slon of his recent visit t Salt Lake City and while the work may appear to be moving slowly in the eyes ot the public there IK not a person associated who does not realize when night comes that he has earned his days wages Indeed bIb bodies move slowly I Horo Rich Orofrom
