Show THE CENTENNIAL ETTHEKA It is Delivering Ore According its Contract ITew Ore Body A report having been originated by the artful bear that any failure on the part oC the Centennial Eureka to deliver de-liver 100 tons of ore dally must subject It to a damaging penalty under the 5000000 contract with the American Smelting and Refining company developed devel-oped the fact yesterday afternoon that each side had protected Itself with a strike clause and that neither 1 under the stipulations oC tho agreement agree-ment can be affected immediately by any such cause Bert Holden manag ing director for the Centennial Eureka who arrived from the north on the I morning train volunteered this statement state-ment which was verified at the offices of this meltlng company so that the bears whose efforts have found a lame exponent In a morning publication were again routed Mr Bolden who has been upon an outing along the cataracts of the Snalct river in Idaho pleaded that he had been beyond the reach of communication during the troubles at tho boardinghouse and did not feel that he was in a position to discuss it at this time He Is however how-ever anxious to hove the pleasant relations re-lations that have hitherto existed between be-tween the men and the management continued and expresses tho hope that the men themselves will seethat only friendly relations can conserve the interests in-terests of both He will leave for the bonanza on Tuesday Clarence E Allen general superintendent superin-tendent oC the mine came in from camp yesterday morning and left for it again last night To the statement made by him In The Tribune ho had nothing to add lie is I putting out 100 tons or more dally as the contract with the smelter requires and says he expects to continue ItO It-O new developments on the new ore body oft the level at S10 feet he says he has now driven SG feet into it and that crosscutting upon It to the south will begin at once As soon as the extent of the ore body on the west is determined he will begin prospecting pros-pecting the same level on the east of the main winze in which ground he expects ex-pects to encounter the old channel that disappeared at a depth of 800 feet In the meantime everything was quiet at the bonanza when he left for town |
