Show CONFERENCE OF CHILDREN SALT LAKE STAKE PRIMARY ASSOCIATION AS-SOCIATION MEETS Little Folks Turned Out in Large Numbers and Rendered n Pro gramme or Musical Interest The Sundayschool children of the Salt Lake stake were out in force yesterday yes-terday morning to attend the quarterly conference of the Primary association held In the Assembly hall Asido from I a few brief addresses made by some of I the older members of the church tho entire programme was given by tho children of the various wards of tho stake and a very commendable one It was From the first to the last number there was not a hitch In the pro gramme and although no applause was given had It been permitted It would certainly have been generous and I hearty for more than one sweet sorrg was given by the childish lips in n way which would have done credit to children l dren who had passed beyond the prl I mary classes both In school and Sun I da school Mrs Camilla C Cobb president of the Primary association of the Salt Lake stake presided Mrs Ella W Hydo Is the secretary of the association associa-tion and was also present as was Mrs Louis Felt the general president of the primary associations of the Latter day Saints Sundayschools throughout I the world Elder Joseph E Taylor Ir Zina D Young Mrs Nellie Taylor and Mrs Felt all made a few remarks to the little ones giving them good advice ad-vice as to tho way In which they should live If they would be happy The opening prayer was offered by David Cummings a very small boy and this was followed by a song of wl come by twenty little girls from the Ninth ward A Sketch of the Primary Work was tho subject of an interesting interest-ing essay by TIle Thomas the story of Samuel was told by lleber Matthews Mat-thews Then nine little girls from the Eleventh ward sang Little Things and God Made my Little Life very sweetly Indeed and later by request sang the Musical Instruments song Samuel Newton played a violin solq Katie and Martha Butte saw Will I Find Mamma There both these little girls possessing voices of unusual sweelness Etta Browning played a pretty mandolin solo and Sllva and Frances Yowling sang 0 pathetic little song No One Cares for Me After all Joined In singing We Thank Thee Qh God for a Prophet the benediction was pionounccd by Ell Ellason and the of little dispersed large gathering Jle ones |
