Show MAW TERBIBLY INJURED Member of Engineering Party Meets With Horrible Accident TRIBUNE SPECIAL Boise Ida July 27A young man named McClelland a college student who has been spending the summer In the mountains with an engineer party of the Idaho Northern road met with a terrible accident at a point on the Payette river twentyone miles from Horseshoe bend t It seems the young man was at work on precipitous ground which broke away under his feat and he fell some thirty feet down the bank He fell on the surveyors ox he carried and it inflicted in-flicted a wound across his back the full length of the blade The companions of the unfortunate man carried him two and onehalfmiles to camp He was bleeding badly but everything possible was done to stanch the flow When the doctqr reached the scene ho dressed and sewed the wound The doctpr thinks he will recover but it will be sjme time before he can be moved It would be necessary to carry him some eight miles to get him out and that could not bo undertaken while he Is In his present condition j I |
