a position to act as It Is now doing Many t humorous incident were reported at the different buildings but the day passed I I in rather t dreary manner with more I than half the scats empty There was vanished THIRTY PARENTS AT JACKSON The total enrollment of the Jackson Is 820 but when school opened yesterday only ISJ were present Of these only 161 just 20 per cent were vaccinated Principal William Bradford visited each loom and after expicsslng his regrets f re-grets for the necessity of sending so many pupils home he instructed the teacher in each room to dismiss those who were not vaccinated While there was no great excitement over the action of the teachers yet there were a gral many protests by the parents of the pupils sent home About thirty parents were present and formally board Prominent among those protesting were E E Rich Arthur Frun lam Newman n member of the school board and Policeman Moroni Clllesple All the teachers were present pres-ent but Miss Caroline Smith of room 8 who was reported as sick and all the teachers were vaccinated The teachers were very much affected as they watched their pupils m rchlnS out of the building but the pupils seemed to rather enjoy the novelty of the thing QUIET AT TRAINING SCHOOL There were not more than half a dozen doz-en parents present at the training school and but few of them protested against their children being sent home The kindergarten being l department of the University was closed and the pupils all sent home NINTH SCHOOL Miss Mell Forsythe principal of the Ninth school said there were but thir tytwo present out of n general attendance attend-ance of eighty Eleven were refused admission The little tots she said took the exclusion very much to heart as 1 rule while there were a few who seemed
