Show DELEGATES DEPART 1I 1 I UTAH CONTINGENT LEAVES FOBS I FOB-S KANSAS CITY I Housed in Two Handsomely Decorated De-corated CarsE C Chambers Remained Re-mained at Home The Utah delegates and alternates to the Democratic national convention together to-gether with a number of their friends took their departure for Kansas City I I at 1230 yesterday afternoon Two cars handsomely decorated had been reserved j re-served for the Utah contingent and these were attached to the regular overland limited which will pull them as far as Cheyenne There they will be attached to the Denver train and go through to Kansan City via the Queen City where a stop of two and a half hours will be made it C Chambers who would have been i i the chairman of the Utah delegation remained at home having been slightly Indisposed for several I days past and not feeling able to withstand the rigors of the trip In the absence of Mr Chambers George W Thatcher will < doubtless be selected as chairman and it js presumed thatMrs Joseph M I Co hen will have the alternate of Mr Chambers The day was a delightful one upon which to begin the Journey and the pilgrims duly appreciated the change In the weather |
