S. Senator. This will be followed by balloting bal-loting and adjournment. D. FRANK WILKINS 1 Utah Democrats conduct their organization convention Saturday Satur-day at the Terrace Ball Room with only one contest in sight. The lone contest is for the posjof state vice chairman. Can-difys Can-difys are incumbent Mrs. Se-viNReese Se-viNReese and Norma Andrea- son. Thus far only Stephen P. Smoot, immediate past chairman chair-man of the Salt Lake County Democratic organization has announced an-nounced candidacy for the state chairman post. Incumbent D. Frank Wilkins is not expected to seek reelection. The convention gets under way with registration from 8 to 9 a.m. State Chairman Wilkins will call the convention to order at 9 a.m. and invocation will be offered by the Rev. Lawrence R. Spellen. Singing of the National Anthem An-them will be led by Delmont Truman accompanied by Ross Hurst. Mayor William A. Bar-, locker of St. George will lead1 the convention in the pledge of allegiance. Reading of the convention call will be by Donald B. Hol-brook, Hol-brook, state executive secretary and delegates will be welcomed by Mr. Wilkins. Introduction of and reports by state officers is scheduled next. Temporary officers will be introduced in-troduced and the following committee com-mittee chairmen will report: Frank Memmott, . Rules and Order Or-der of Business; Ray Pruett, Credentials; Cre-dentials; Jacob Weiler, Elections; Elec-tions; Lyman Smart, Pre-Plat-form and Resolutions. Ross Hurst will present piano selections, after which nominations nomina-tions x and responses by candidates candi-dates for state chairman and vice chairman are planned.
