Show Scouts Will Begin Cookie Distribution "Better than ever," reported Mrs. John S. Erickson, president of the Utah Girl Scout Council, a United Fund Agency, after checking reports of Girl Scout cookie orders for 1962 from all over the state. Almost 200,000 boxes of special Girl Scout 50th Birthday anniversary cookies have been ordered and will be delivered to customers starting March 29th. Hundreds of cases of cookies are being delivered to over 100 Cookie Stations throughout the state this week, in preparation for the deliveries to customers to be made by Brownie, Intermediate, Inter-mediate, and Senior Girl Scouts who took the orders in February. Febru-ary. "This excellent response to the Cookie Sale means that many needed repairs and improvements improve-ments can be made at the three established Girl Scout camps Cloud Rim near Park City; Red Cliffe, near Ogden and Trefoil, near Provo, and that new equipT v ment can be purchased for Day Camps. This in turn will make it possible for more Girl Scouts to attend the various sessions of camp this summer," continued Mrs. Erickson. "On behalf of the 8,000 Girl Scouts and adult leaders lead-ers throughout the state, I would like to express appreciation for this fine support of our 1962 Cookie Sale." Motorists are warned, and with good reason, to watch out for children walking. It seems timely to add a caution also to watch out for children driving. |
