Show St. George Residents Back Barlocker At Funds Dinner kind in the history of St. George. Many were turned away. Telegrams from party leaders throughout the state were received re-ceived pledging support for Mr. Barlocker. The enthusiasm of the group attending, together with the support throughout the state reflecetd by the telegrams received, tab Bill Barlocker as a candidate who has gained considerable con-siderable support and stature. City Attorney Charles Pickett, who was master of ceremonies, introduced Mayor Barlocker as the outstanding young Democratic Demo-cratic candidate for governor. Pointing out the many accomplishments accom-plishments the mayor has succeeded suc-ceeded in during the twenty years he has been doing business in the state, also the improvements improve-ments he has made as mayor of St. George, Mr. Pickett said, ' the needs of this state at t this t'me will require a young, ener-gstic ener-gstic dynamic personality to lead this state to a new and brighter future." The people of St. George supported sup-ported the gubernatorial campaign cam-paign of Mayor William A. Barlocker Bar-locker 465 strong at a fund-raising dinner held Monday evening at the St. George auditorium.
