Show Jehovah's Witnesses Plan Idaho Meet The Salt Lake City congregation congrega-tion of Jehovah's Witnesses, Central Cen-tral Unit, will travel to Pocatello, Idaho, to attend the semi-annual circuit convention, it ,was announced an-nounced by Mr. Fred Vandres, (ocal presiding minister. The three-day Bible educational program, pro-gram, December 30 and 31, 1960 and January 1, 1961, will be held In the Pocatello High School, 246 North Garfield Avenue. "The last circuit convention of Jehovah's Witnesses held in Pocatello was in 1955 and at that time there were 18 congregations represented. Since then the organization or-ganization has continually increased in-creased and for this gathering ministers from 25 congregations will be in attendance. Mr. Vandres Van-dres stressed that the planned sessions of Bible discourses,' discussions dis-cussions and practical demonstrations demon-strations of misionary methods have helped to unify the Bible teaching program of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout the entire world. In 1955 there were over 600,000 Witnesses in 158 coun- tries teaching the good news ol God's established kingdom. This year of 1960 there are over 900,-000 900,-000 ministers in 176 countries and islands of the sea. Mr. Vandres commented that the highlight feature of this convention con-vention will be a free public talk on Sunday afternoon entitled "Is God Interested in the Affairs of Men?" This Bible discourse wil be delivered by a special travel-! travel-! ing district supervisor from the Watchtower Society's world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. Over a thousand delegates will come from Evanston and Jackson, Jack-son, Wyoming; southeastern Idaho; all parts of Utah and Ely and Elko, Nevada. |
