Show Postmaster General Announces Plan to Improve Utah Service Postmaster General Summer-field Summer-field this week announced a new program to improve mail service in the state. Under this program it is expected that" one day de-I de-I livery will be made on nearly all first class mail originating i and delivered in the state. It is an historic step which will further fur-ther cement the bonds existing among the communities of the state. This modernization has been carefully tested and the faster schedules demonstrated. The Utah project is .the largest area yet to be included in a single plan in the entire nation, and includes more than 75,000 of the state's 84,916 miles. All or part of the state's 29 counties are included in the Utah mail improvement plan, except ' for Daggett and Rich counties. The area originates more than 99 per cent of the state's mail, said Sen. Wallace F. Bennett. |
