Show 'Ten Little Indians1 Next At U. Play box Theatre Vaughn McBride is to head the cast list of characters in the coming University of Utah Play-box Play-box production of Ten Little Indians, July 21-25. McBride, a growing favorite of Salt Lake audiences, is to be seen as the very funny and quite suspicious sus-picious detective that finds himself him-self trapped, along with nine other people, on an inescapable island off the coast of England. One of the ten is a murderer who wishes to kill them all in proper and opinionated personalities. person-alities. Mrs. Decker is to be remembered re-membered for her outstanding performances in the Chalk Garden, Gar-den, Tiger at the Gates and the Second Threshold. Dunkly was seen at the University last, year as the mute in The Medium, a role which he portrayed in theatres thea-tres all over Europe. C. Ellis Johnson, Geraldine Elliott, Joe Bellamy, Ron Fred-rickson Fred-rickson and Edwin Astin complete com-plete the cast list of characters. Robert Hyde Wilson believes the cast represents a wide variety of faces that will be of interest to Playbox audiences. As director of the show, Wilson finds it of great interest because of the closeness the Playbox offers the audiences watching the play. It presents a personal relationship between actor and spectator; the excitement of the mystery is thus greater and more involving. For the production Kay Knight has carved from wood ten Indian In-dian statuettes which represent the number of murders to take place in the evening's entertainment. entertain-ment. Each of the ten wooden statues is meant to be a fine art piece in itself, not just a death symbol. As represented in the rhyme, the statuettes are in the act that best fits their personality personal-ity and means of death.
