Show Raised Eyebrows Bring Grins All members of the Utah State House of Representatives were pretty well aware of the joke last week, but John Q. Public was left in the dark. A number of visitors to the House and Senate galleries overheard over-heard just enough of a message being circulated to cause quite a flutter of curiosity. A speaker for House members said that the excitement was all a matter of misunderstanding and that there was no cause for concern for the solvency of Legislators. The message, "May I see you concerning the milk bill?" was simply an attempt by various lobbyists to gain the ear of favorite favo-rite lawmakers, and not, the spokesmen said, an indication in any way that any legislator had slipped up on paying the milk man. "The Milk Bill," H. B. No. 3, relates to the inspection or certification cer-tification of all fluid milk sold. |
