Salt Lake County Clerk Alvin Keddington called for the use of voting machines. And Secretary of State Lamont F. Toronto suggested the use of perforated ballots which the election judge could separate when the voter had finished his ballot. Mr. Toronto agreed the state could profit by certain changes in its election laws. But the sec-retary of state said he was not entirely sold on voting machines. Commission Okehs Convention Trip The Salt Lake County Com-mission this week authorized an appropriation of $500 expenses for Sharp M. Larsen, county treasurer, to attend a meeting of the National Association of County officials in Ashville, N.C., Nov. 23-2- 5.
