Show o Utah Dairymen Slate Meetings Bert M. Tollefson, Washington, D. C., program liaison officer for the Department of Agriculture, will be banquet speaker for the annual convention of the American Ameri-can Dairy Association of Utah in Salt Lake City on Saturday, November 30. Welby W. Young, Heber City, ADA of Utah president and convention con-vention chairman, said that the banquet would climax the convention, con-vention, which will be held at Hotel Utah. Mr. Tollefson serves on Secretary Sec-retary of Agriculture Ezra Taft Benson's immediate staff. Mr. Tollefson works with members of Congress and Congressional committee staffs, White House officials, officers of federal agencies agen-cies and heads of farm organizations. organi-zations. Since January, 1955, Mr. Tollefson Tol-lefson has served as administrative administra-tive assistant to Representative E. Y. Berry from the farm and I ranch area of western South Dakota. Da-kota. Prior to that he was administrative ad-ministrative assistant to Gov. Sigurd Anderson of Souht Dakota Da-kota for more than three years where he also worked directly with agricultural matters. He has also been secretary of the state highway commission, state executive ex-ecutive secretary of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, Paraly-sis, a radio announcer ,ond partner part-ner in a real estate and insurance business. Mr. Tollefson was born and raised in small towns and rural areas of South Dakota as was JN wife, the former Barbara ' Both are graduates of the University Uni-versity of South Dakota, and Mr. Tollefson has completed course work for an M.A. at American University in Washington, D.C. |
