F Hansen I Ir r I Syracuse Resident Since 1903 Dies Charles Frederick Hansen 82 well known retired cattleman and farmers died Saturday night at his Ilis home in Syracuse af after er an extend extend- extended ed illness Mr Hansen was born in Buring Burington ton Iowa July 25 1857 a son of Christian and Petersen Hansen Jansen When six year old he crossed the plains with his mother lother in the James Warham Varham company They resided in Salt Lake City for fora fora a short time then moved to Cot- Cot Cottonwood Cottonwood Cottonwood and soon after into Rush valley alley in Tooele county count Later they moved to Sandy They came caine to Syracuse in 1903 where he had re re- re sided since He became a on some of the large Jarge cattle ranches of his boyhood and engaged in cat cat- cattle tic tle raising and farming all lib his life He was an active church worker being a member of the high priests' priests group of the Syracuse ward at it the tIle time of his death He had been seen ward teacher for many years ears He married Thirza Ward Yard in 1878 She died March 21 1912 a Surviving are three sons Joseph and Ernest V. W. Hanson of Syracuse and Quincy Hansen of Frontier Wyo yo three daughters Mrs Alma Wright of Mrs William A A. A Campbell of Fort Leavenworth Kan and Mrs Forrest Sims o of Syracuse a sister Mrs William owley of Layton 29 grandchildren and 17 great Funeral services were held in the Syracuse ward chapel Wednesday afternoon with Bishop Henry Ramp ton ion in charge and interment was in inthe inthe inthe the Syracuse cemetery |
