Show The Methodists of Great Britain are giving a series of public welcomes to the delegates who are returning from the Ecumenical council at Washington. The London Christian World, an inllu-ential inllu-ential Methodist journal, says: "The utterances of the delegates show that they have returned in a mood which bodes ill to the English establishment. They have seen what a freo church means in a free state. They have felt the might and magnitude of their own denomination. They have been addressed ad-dressed by the president of a great country. The result is that they have come back here determined to break forever with the policy of subservience to the dominant church." |
