Chief of the Bureau Bu-reau of Eng-aving and Printing Maredith in his report to the secretary of the treasury says the r.ult of the year's operations was the largcV delivery of securities, stamps and misce.laneous work in any year during a period of fourteen years. There were completed and delivered during the year 11,233,999 sheets of United States notes, treasury notes, gold and silver certificates, bonds and national bank notes, having a face value of $308,965,930; 33.500,695 sheets of internal in-ternal revenue and customs stamps, containing contain-ing 927,934,984 stamps and 1,655,666 6heets of drafts checks, certificates, etc., besides a large amount of miscellaneous work for the various departments of the government. |
