Bamberger bought1 Anchor from Meears, as also Apex from Stevenson, while he let go of Congo to Stevenson and VanBuskirk. Stevenson was a buyer of Crescent of Bamberger and VanBuskirk. raising the price over yesterday's yes-terday's close 5 cents. Stevenson was also a buyer of Horn Silver from Bamberger. Bam-berger. Woolley let Bamberger have Mammoth, while Stevenson and Conkling gave Bamberger a good-sized block of Stanley. The quotations were: TODAY'S SAI.I4. The Treasure aud Julian located at Silver City are marketing about 400 tons of ore a month with local smelters. The erection of the sampler at Tiutic will have the effect of largely increasing increas-ing the output of a district that is already al-ready among tho most Droductiye of the frontier. Work will begin on the buildings and other surface improvement im-provement as soon as practicable. L. U. Colbath has purchased the Ashland Ash-land No. 2 of George Hearst and wife for $15,0DO. The properties are located on West Mountain and give excellent promise of developing bonanzas. A large amount of machinery will go into the various districts the present season. The whim is rapidly becoming extinct. The maticgement of the Mammoth is laying the foundation for a season of unusual activity and with this in view is overhauling the machinery aud placing plac-ing it in perfect condition. At present the pay roll is confined to about 50 men which number will be largely increased next month. Manager Stebbins is putting put-ting things in a shape that assures a most profitable year. |
