Show FATAL ' 'A&JlflfENt. EDWIN SOLOMON IS KILLED BY HIS OWN CUN. As Ha Was Looking lit It Yesterday Afternoon After-noon It Went Off, and the Coroner Cor-oner Held an Inquest Today. About 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Edwin Solomon, No. 120 Oak street, was examining his gun when it went off and killed him instantly. There was a string attached to the trigger, and it was while looking at the shooter that Solomon's foot caught in the suing and the gun discharged itself. The load entered the nnfortunate man's head and he fell down dead. His children were horrified horri-fied at the spectacle and running run-ning into the street, cried aloud for help. Medical aid was summoned, but the man was beyond earthly assistance. At first this, was supposed to be a suicide, sui-cide, but the friends of the deceased say not. Edwin Solomon was the youngest brother of ex-Chief of Police Alfred Solomon. Deceased was about 48 years of age, and a widower with several children. |
