I A couple of visitors, one a prominent Denverite and the other a well known citizen of Chicago, met on the streets here and in the course of their talk referred re-ferred to the visit of Mr. l)epew. "Jt is a little strange," said one, "that the S vice president should come here while the president is so far away from Wash-! Wash-! ingtou." The othergentlemiin assented I that it was strange. Just then a Salt Lake acquaintance stepped up and the nialtar was mentioned. The third gentleman gen-tleman was not so sure that Mr. Hepew was vice president, so they came around to The Times office for information. |
