A mys-I mys-I terious robbery at the "bank of Nova Scotia, in Woodstock, caused a groat excitement. Forty thousand dollars was taken from the vault ami the accountant of the bank, Robert (i. Sanders is looked up charged with the theft. Saturday Sat-urday morning Sanders was found lying ly-ing ou the tlbor of the vault, uucoii-scions, uucoii-scions, and the vault door wide open. When he came to his senses he said he had been intruded to go to bank early in the morning to get some money out of tho vault and scud it away by express ex-press ou the 7:30 train. As he entered the vault he was struck from behind and fell unconscious without seeing his assailant. No one living in the vicinity of the bauk saw anybody euter or depart therefrom. Many rumors are afloat concerning the burglary. |
