Show A Howe With Hi Foot In III Mouth. Kockvillk, N. Y., July 17. II. O. Preston, of the village of Thompsons, has a horse with a colossal hoof and an extraordinary largo mouth. The other day a great noise was hoard about the stable and Farmer Preston ran thither in anxiety, for ho says it is diflieult to tell an hour ahead what novel freak that original beast will undertake next. A queer scene met his view on entering the barn. The horse had "cast" himself in his stall, and as Preston looked more closely he saw that one of the beasts's mighty hoofs was crowded pretty nearly down the animal's own throat. The steed was raving, kicking, clawing and floundering flounder-ing on the floor, but could not get his big foot out of his jaws. It took Mr. Preston and his farm hands about a quarter of an hour to get the foot out of tho mouth and the horse on his four legs again. The horse appeared to be good deal amazed and more disappointed disap-pointed than astonished. |
