Show Thou, too, Nebraska? For the first time in the history of the state it elected elec-ted yesterday a democratic governor. Four year.4 ago McShano, a democrat, was elected to congress from the first district but that was clue to a bolt against Church Howe, the republican nominee and the liberal distribution of boodle. And McShane was regarded , as a political curiosity, a white raven as it were. Now, unless later returns , change the aspect, the whole Nebraska delcatioij will be democratic. That is what prohibition and the farmers' alliance alli-ance have done. Yet on a straight party vote the state is safe for' 30,000 repub- llcan majority. |
