Show Agnint Quay, PrrrsBunri, Pa., Sept. 11. Special. The republican revolt in Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania against the oppressive rule 'of Boss Matt Quay is growing. The recent re-cent pronuueiamcnto against bossism anb political corruption as embraced in the person of Senator Quay was signed by a largo number of prominent repub-licansim:luding repub-licansim:luding members of the Raid-win Raid-win Locomotive company, known th world over, and has started the i-pub-lican managers toward a paivt-M js understood that no little discontent underlying this revolt, was caused by the defeat, through the arbitrary methods used by Senator Quay, of the popular Gen. Hastings, known as the hero of Johnstown from his gallant conduct at the time of that disaster Gen. Hastings was warmly supported for the guberuational nomination by a largo majority of the republican voters of the state and was onlv defeated when Quay sot up his creature Delamater. A new movement has just been slart-ed, slart-ed, having for its purpose the softeniug of the wounds received by the followers of Hastings. Quay and Cameron have put their heads together, have discovered discov-ered that a national World's fair commission com-mission holds a meeting at Chicago on loth of September and it is their (Wan to have Gen. Hastings made director-general director-general of the big exposition. The candidacy can-didacy of Gen. Hustings has been quietly known hore for somo time, but it was first authoritatively announced tod-Alien. Hastings has secured the practically prac-tically unanimous indorsement of both the Pennsylvania and Ohio delegation in congress.
