L L Rice 74 well known know n Davis county farmer and dairyman n died Wednesday at 1245 p. p p m. m m at a t his leis home in Farmington from a heart ailment He Ifs had been ill iii dur ing the past year He was born in Farmington Sept 14 1870 a son of Leonard G G. and Lucy Lycy J. J Stevens Rice A lifetime resident of Farmington Mr Rice was noted for being bein the first milk producer of Salt Lake City He Ile was credited with developing the first sweet cherry in Utah anc and was an excellent judge of cattle For many years he the largest garden in Davis county where he had hods hod's a a grape vine vine- vineyard vineyard yard rard fruit orchards orchard's and sad other gar gar- garden garden den products Mr hit Rice served four terms on ot the Farmington lily aty 1 council anc and was a past secretary of Farmington L D S Sward ward Y M 11 M MIA I A.
