Show "BUILDING UTAH" Delegates from twenty-eight counties, nearly four hundred hund-red representatives of business, industry and civic bodies, i returned to their homes, full of enthusiasm for a state wide ten-year plan to "Build Utah". All of those who attended at-tended the meetings were urged to return to their communities com-munities and tell everyone what this plan is and how much the success of the plan would mean to Utah and her people. The plan is concerned with the problems of labor, agriculture, agri-culture, education, industry and youth. Three ways are open for industrial growth in Utah. Increase In-crease sales by industries here, further developing of our natural resources, and lastly, to have additional factories producing materials used in connection with production of articles now manufactured in the state. Success of this part of the plan would mean more work for laborers, an avenue of opportunity for youth, and a market for Utah's agricultural agricul-tural products and raw mAteriala. The "Build Utah" plan calls for advertising to attract more tourists to the state and for the exploitation of Green River melons and other distinctive Utah farm products prod-ucts as is Utah celery. Leaders of the plan advocate the scientific study of taxation, legislation, crop production, soil renewal, water supply. Some improvements are certain if the sincere conclusions con-clusions of state leaders who give these problems serious thought are given consideration. Every Utah resident can have a part in the program. One of the easiest ways of cooperation is to use Utah made products. prod-ucts. Another is by boosting Utah when abroad and telling everyone of the things for which Utah is justly famous. Help "Build Utah". We all share in the dividends. |
