Show COUNTY BONDED DEBT DECREASES With the dispatch Tuesday of $136,433.75 to the Guaranty Trust company, New York. Salt Lake county's bonded debt has reached the lowest point since 1919. The total indebtedness of the county now is $645,000. Records disclosed $573,000 of the bonds have been retired during the past three years and three months. mon-ths. The present maturity, for which a warrant was submitted by Auditor Ferrell H. Adams to Treasurer J. R. Jarvis, who, in turn, forwarded the money to New York, will retire $120,000 of the 1919 road bond issue and pay $16,433.75 interest on the remaining bonds, it was explained explain-ed by county officials. Next year the county is slated to mature another $153,000 of its bonded debt. Other maturities, maturi-ties, made at the rate of $100,-000 $100,-000 each year, except 1941, when only $93,000 will be matured, ma-tured, according to present schedules, sche-dules, will place the county out of debt by 1944. |
