Halloween Bridge Given by I.iffton Auxiliary. A smart autumn public card parry was given Tuesday evening at the Legion Civic Center by the Ameri-can Legion auxiliary. All the decora-tions and favors followed a Hallo-ween theme, and vases of yellow rhrysanthomums were placed about the room. Mrs. Rex Tripp was' chair-man of arrangements assisted by Mrs. Art Sorenson and Mrs. Stan Jacques on the decorations com-mittee, and Mrs. Connie Harris, Mrs. William Allmarck, Mrs. Lu-rill- o Lambson and Mrs. Bessie j Kundberg on the refreshment and general arrangements committee. Twenty tables of contract bridge were in play. Mrs. Sam Sturm won high score prize, Mrs. D. T. Thomas if Salt Lake City won second, and Mrs. J. Carpenter was presented the house prize. Birthdays Noted. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Falsetti enter-tained (Saturday, October 24, with a supper; and dancing party in ob-servance .of their birthdays. Rela-tives and friends invited were: Mr. and Mrs. Giulo Bernardi and daug-hter Mary and Annie; Mr. and Mrs. John Pino and family; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bernardi of Provo; Mr. and Rebekahs. Mrs. Andy Kreason entertained the Rcbekah's at her home Thurs-day evening. After regular business wa3 finished three tables were ar-ranged for five hundred. Mrs. M. A. Stuart won high score prize and Mrs. Pearl Hitchcock of Hagerman, Jdahn, was presented with the guest prize. j- l- Ltterary Club Formed By Freshman Students. The Freshman Girls Literary club was organized Wednesday. Officers elected were: Ruth Hornickle, Cop-perto-president; Lois Hart, Cop-perfiel- Aloha East-man, Lark, secretary-treasure- r; Mary Kamnes, Bingham, chief re-porter, and Winona Peterson, Lark, and Joyce Durnford, Copperton, assistants. Clyde F. Smith, advisor. Purpose: The purpose of the club is to acquaint not only the members of this club, but the residents of Bingham and its vicinity with the more beautiful side of literature. We as a club offer our services to entertain in a literary form the people of Bingham and neighbor-ing towns. Written by Reporters No. 1 Fire Auxiliary Conjoint Meeting. Mrs. James Culleton, Mrs. Bruce Ivie and Mrs. Eugene Jenkins were committee members of the No. 1 Fire auxiliary in charge of the con-joint meeting of the auxiliary and Firemen held at the No. 1 hall Mon-day evening. A hot dinner was serv-ed to thirty-eigh- t. Mr. and Mrs. Earl James won ladies and gentle-men's high score prizes in the card games following the dinner. Con-solation prizes went to Mrs. John Creedon and to Mr. Jack House-holder. Mrs. Frank Rino; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph . Chiodo of Salt Lake; Mr. Fortunate Morosco; Mr. Gin Pigna-tori- ; Mr. : John Lazauche; Mr. Steve Amicone, Jr. and sister Miss Chene Amicone; Miss Helen Marks. A two course luncheon was serv-ed. Mr and Mrs. Falsetti were pre-sented .with many lovely gifts and received the birthday greetings of their guests. Visitor Honored At Luncheon. Mrs. Frank Mead was hostess at a twelve o'clock luncheon at - her home in Copper-to- n Tuesday In honor of her house guest,' Mrs. Pearl Hitchcock of Hagerman, Idaho. Out of town quests were Mrs. Pete Sayatovich of Midvale and Mrs. M. A. Stuart and Mrs. i Guy Murray of Sandy Twelve guests were present. Can tract , bridge was the diversion ol the afternoon, with first and sec-ond prizes going to Mrs, Stuart and Mrs., Murray. Mrs. Hitchcock was presented with the guest prize. Bridge Breakfast. Mrs. George Christopherson was hostess at a prettily arranged bridge breakfast Wednesday morn-ing. Places were arranged for Mrs. Mike Brkk, Mrs. Sam Sturm, Mrs. Frank Meade and the hostess. Mrs. Christopherson was high score winner. I Mrs. Delia Prigmore was hostess to members of the Just Us club Wednesday evening. Mrs. Charles Carey won first prize, Mrs. Ida Mugfur second and Mrs. J. J. Doyle the travelling prize. Two tables, ! one of five hundred and one of auction bridge, were arranged. A j delicious late luncheon was served. Marriage Announced. The marriage of Miss Lenna Thurber, daughter of Edward Thurber of Richfield and former Bingham high school faculty mem-ber, and Duane J. Erickson of Mon-roe was solemnized Monday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. John Dahlstrom acted as best man and matron of honor. Several parties were arranged in Bingham in compliment to Miss Thurber. Mrs. Odell Peterson en-tertained members of the Nu--I club, of which Miss Thurber is a former member, at a seven o'clock dinner at her home Monday of last week, honoring Miss Thurber. Miss Margaret Ireland, Mrs. Odell Peterson and Mrs. John Dahlstrom were hostesses at a party last Tues day at Mrs. Dahlstrom's home in the Princess apartment. Covers for eleven guests were arranged. Miss Thurber was presented with a gift. Faculty members at the high school gave an informal party Wed-nesday of last week, following the assembly given for Miss Thurber by the student body. A Mixmaster was the wedding gift of the faculty members. Mr. and Mrs. Erickson are mak-ing their home in Monroe.
