Mrs. Loren Stokes, president, presided' pre-sided' The regular business was dispatched followed by an evening at cards. Prizes for the evening were awarded to Mrs. Marlin Schultz and Mrs. Art Cook. Mrs. Betrothal Announced. The Empire room of the Hotel I Utah was the scene of ,a delightful i luncheon last , Saturday afternoon, the occasion being the engagement S announcement of Miss Catherine Williams to Dr. Harold Jenkins of Salt Lake City. The bride-to be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Williams of Bingham. The wedding wedd-ing Is to take place during the early summer and the young couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. A beautiful center piece of rose corsages adorned the luncheon lunch-eon table, and each guest was later presented with a corsage. Guests Included In-cluded Mrs. E. Blaney and Mrs. Ernest Slmpklns of Salt Lake City, Mrs. H. M. Jenkins of Iowa, Miss Alice Stevens of Ogden, and Miss Alice Metland, Miss Verena Graham, Gra-ham, Miss Valols Irving, Miss Mabel Ma-bel Neprud, Mrs. J. R. Jensen, Mrs. Elliott Evans, Mrs. George Knud-I sen, Mrs. Hazel Williams, Mrs. A. E. Williams and Mrs. Max Brisk, nil of Bingham. ' Mrs. Alvln Cole Honored. The Misses' Helen and Hazel Morris entertained at a mlscellane-ous mlscellane-ous shower honoring Mrs. Alvln Cole at their home Thursday evening. even-ing. Four tables of bridge were In play. Following the card games the hostesses assisted by their mother served a delicious luncheon, to Mrs. Andrew Gray, Mrs. Orsen Ra-musson, Ra-musson, Mrs. Sterling Skinner, Mrs. Gladys Wood, Mrs. Ivan Holt, and the Misses Myrtle Bolton, Ruth White, Maxlne Rassmussen, Ruth Sheen, Melba Sheen, Ann Muhar and Ann Pollick. j- Ldy Eagles Card Party. The Lady Eagles of Bingham were hostesses at a well planned card party at the Legion Civic Center Wednesday afternoon. A one o'clock luncheon was served to approximately sixty four ladles. The contract bridge honors wer won by Mrs. James Denver while the auction prize was won by Mary Turner. Mrs. Bill Mayne won the house prize. A committee composed of Mrs. J. J. Doyle, Mrs. C. Tas-salnler, Tas-salnler, ,Mrs. Pete Smith, Mrs. C. Kinneanean and Mrs. L. Andrea-ton, Andrea-ton, were In charge of the delightful delight-ful affair. Friedman will leave next Tuesday for Denver, and Miss Novitch will leave on that day for an extended visit in San Diego, California. Brldee Foursome. Mrs. J. C. Leiser entertained her bridge club at her home Monday afternoon. A 12 o'clock luncheon was served to Mrs. Theo Chesler, Mrs. O. S. Jensen and Mrs. Eugene Morris. Mrs. Leiser played high for the afternoon. Jack Householder, hostess, for the evening nerved delicious refreshments. refresh-ments. J Mrs. Cronln Honored. Mrs. James Culleton entertained at contract bridge at her home Tuesday evening, In honor of her sister Mrs. John Cronin of Houston, Texas. Two tables were in play. Mrs. Eugene Morris won the bridge honors and Mrs. Cronin was presented pre-sented with the guest prize. At a late hour a luncheon was served to Mrs. Irvln Stillman, Mrs- Wil-ford Wil-ford Harris, Mrs. James Carrlgan, Mrs. Ray Tatton, Mrs. Marlin Schultz, Schul-tz, Mrs. Eugene Morris and the guest of honor. -J Bridge Foursome. Mrs. C. A. Morley entertained at contract bridge at her home Friday evening of last week. The bridge prize was won by Mrs. Howard Barrows. Following the card games a two course luncheon was served to Mrs. George Perrln, Mrs. K. Isbell and Mrs. Howard Barrows. Fire Auxiliary No- Two. o Members of No. Two Fire Auxiliary Auxili-ary met in regular session at their fire half Monday evening. Following Follow-ing the business meeting cards were enjoyed. Mrs. Loyd Nerdin and Mrs. John West won the bridge prizes for high scores. Mrs. Walter Al-planalp, Al-planalp, hostess, for the evening served refreshments- Civic Club to Meet The Bingham Womens 'Civic Club will hold their regular meeting meet-ing at the Legion civic center Thursday evening. Following the business meeting a fine program will be given and refreshments served. jl Entanon Club Dinner Bridge. Miss Mable Neprud was the charming hostess to the Emanon Bridge Club at the Beau Brummel Cafe in Salt Lake City Friday evening even-ing of last week. A seven o'clock dinner was served, covers being laid for 20 guests. Following the dinner five tables of contract were in play. The bridge favors were awarded to Miss Vern Baer and Mrs. Lee Jones. Mrs. Eugene Morris Mor-ris won the guest prize. jl Out-of-Town OuesU.
