Show Copperfield jj by Mary Kokles ; Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clinton spent four days camping and fishing fish-ing in Springville canyon. In compliment to Mrs. Ray Carl (Miss Ellen McDonald) and Mrs. Reynold Marcon (Miss Maxine McDonald), Mc-Donald), two recent brides, Miss Pat Doyle entertained at a shower at the home of their mother Mrs. J. McDonald last Saturday. The evening was spent in playing games ( after which refreshments were served to aproximately 20 guests. I After having completed two successful suc-cessful weeks of study the Copper-field Copper-field Vacation Bible School, under the direction of Miss Ethel Weisz will end its classes on Friday, June 26. A party will be given in the morning for, the eighty enrolled students and an exhibit an program! will be held in the evening at 7:30 ' p.m. in the auditorium of the school The public is invited to attend. Mr. G. Adondakis, manager of Lendaris Grocery announces the opening of the Variety Cash Shop in Copperfield on Tuesday, June 25. The new store will be under the management of Miss Katherlne Georgelas and will feature the sale of all types of merchandise and hardware. All sales will be strictly on a cash basis. John Knudsen Is reported as being be-ing ill In the St. Marks hospital In Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Todd and daughters Thelma, Frances, and Evelyn of Trenton, Missouri, former for-mer residents of Bingham, have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kent and Mr. and Mrs. William Leatherwood for the past week at their homes on Terrace Heights. Mrs. O. O. Swain was hostess to the Relief Society at her home on Tuesday. The evening was spent sewing, after which refreshments were served to ten members. S Mr. and Mrs. Horace Aven returned re-turned the latter part of the week I after having been away for three weeks on a tour of the east. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clinton are leaving Friday for an extended trip I through Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. Llston Bray and small daughter Barbara, and Mr. and Mrs. Les Anderson and their daughter Shirley are leaving Saturday Satur-day morning for a two weeks vacation va-cation to Yellowstone Park and fishing at Salmon river, Idaho. The Relief Society entertained at a farewell party last Saturday honoring Mrs. William Mace who is leaving to make her home In Sandy. During the evening many games were played and refreshments' refresh-ments' were enjoyed by all. Mrs. Mace was the recipient of many lovely gifts. |
