it I 1 is now about completed and the mill will be started up again in a few days up to the time of the shutting down the results in the mill were highly satisfactory is a fine saving being effected all 10 stamps will be in operation when the mill starts again and it is anticipated there will be no cessation of the dropping of the stamps during the summer boise statesman albert burch left last evening for spokane after spending a day here he will return early in the week to start up a mining project in the basin country this is a placer mining enterprise mr burch and his associates have purchased the henry reed property near placerville erville D W ross has put his grimes creek water right into the project and the water will be carried cart led by a long ditch to the ground to be worked the tract secured was was owned many years by henry reed and after his death passed into the possession of others it embraces some acres all told the property belonging to wood robinson will be worked in connection with it it will be necessary to dig between 11 and 12 miles of new ditch and clean out seven miles of old ditch to get the water on the property one thousand inches of water will be carried it is the intention to be bein begin in work on the ditch at once two or three months month will be consumed in doing the work although the ditch could tie be completed in less time if
