Show MAKES A FORTUNE AT FAIRVIEW review columbia nov nev H W bruner one of goldfields Gold fields leading mining men returned from fairview last saturday where he had been for several days inspecting his interests mr bruner was among the first to send prospectors into the new camp and nd as a result he has acquired some very valuable property he has interests in six claims in the very center of the famous district and while he was in the camp the men he had working uncovered a ledge measuring fully seven fe feet et in width and giving a good high average in gold and silver and from the fact that very little depth has as yet been attained it is believed that when the strike is thoroughly opened up it will prove the equal of anything in the camp mr bruner visited the famous nevada hills property and says the reports going out about it being one of the largest ever made in the state of nevada are not exaggerated in the least the ledge which has been traced for a distance of 1700 feet and has an average width of more than six feet has been opened up on several places and at every point shipping values are found sacking has been commenced from an open cut in the ledge and every pound of ore that is broken is saved george bartschy Birt schy the district recorder for the fairview mining district recently sold an interest in two groups of claims for cash beades retaining 49 per cent of the personal stock for which he has refused 1 per share the ledges from the nevada hills and the wingfield properties which parallel each other and the ledge traversing the harnen property form a junction on one of the groups sold by mr birt schy and mining engineers who have examined the property pronounce it one of the most promising in the northern acma A shaft has been sunk to a depth of f 16 feet and every indication points to the opening up of a large body of high grade ore mr durner burner says there are about fifteen leasers leaders in and about the camp and that a number of them have already encountered ores of a shipping grade several of the companies too foo have commenced active development work preparations are being made to make the first shipment from the new camp and it is thought that it will be ready some time next week the shipment will have a larger tonnage and the general average of the ore will be higher than any ever made from a camp of the same age as fairview the town mr bruner says is growing very rapidly and on the day he left there were tents and tent houses thirty two frame houses and two two story frame building completed and occupied and new buildings were being planned and several were in course of construction people are going coln in at the rate of about forty a day there are two newspapers two banks several good restaurants and lodging houses and other businesses that go in making a first class mining camp the material for the telephone has been ordered and is expected very scon and upon its arrival no time will be lost completing the line between hazen and fairview |
