| Show ARIZONA kingman miner A L mckesson is at work on his mining claims one mile east af pf of mcconnico he reports that he has a small vein of ore that gives average values of cf 46 in gold and silver paralleling the small mall vein is a large ledge of quartz that carries arries values but no work has so far been idone d one on it it is mr intention to 0 crosscut this vein and ascertain its value if 1 I jerome news the jerome verde company has started men at work on the ack property located south and in close proximity to the copper chief on equator hill mr putnam the president of the company informs the news that the development will be continued until the group is thoroughly explored those who have been over the ground report that it is a very promising piece of property kingman miner dr J P wallace and a mining man visited the burro mining properties last week returning to kingman tuesday last the burro mine is one of the largest veins of gold and silver bearing ore in this section of arizona and is well situated for economic mining a big stream of water sufficient for power passing over the claims dr wallace has done a great deal of work on the mines during the past two years phoenix enterprise W D T donald superintendent of the oriental copper company in the cave creek district is in this city today on business connected with the oriental property mr donald says that a double shift is being worked regularly no now w on the oriental and also on the mormon girl which is in the same district he says that good miners are wanted and wanted badly not only by the oriental and mormon girl people but by every other mine in the cave creek district tombstone epitaph advices advises received here today are to the effect that a company of los angeles capitalists has been formed to take hold of a group of claims located in the johnson district and have already paid down ten per cent of the purchase price and will immediately start development work the group on which the sale has been made includes the teaser surprise and hillside mining claims as well as several others the group was formerly the property of T K X mitchell kirk hart and others and is located in the center of the district considerable sid erable work has already been done on it kingman miner J H hoffman secretary of the chloride gold mining company has har been visiting that property the past week he reports that the big working shaft will soon be sunk to a depth of feet and that there is plenty of money in the treasury of the company todo to do the work without taking a cent from the mine in the lower level of the property the ore body shows an increase in size as well as in values the mines are now believed to be among the best properties in the county since their taking over by the chloride gold mining company these mines have never been been idle and have been constant producers of rich gold and silver ores the management of the property has been in the hands of L hoffman who has shown himself thoroughly competent in its management mr hoffman intends to visit a big copper property in the edge of the death valley country before he returns to his home in pueblo |
