| Show A CUT ON ORE RATES freight rates on the bulk of the galena ore from the coeur calenes dA lenes to the smelt ers at denver and pueblo colo have been cut 2 per ton the new tariffs have been received at the local offices of the 0 R N the rate applying to ores valued at not more than 60 per ton is reduced from 10 to 8 per ton in carload lots the bulk of coeur dalene ores is between the valuations named hence the reduction is an important one the previous rates have been 8 on ores of a value not to exceed 50 10 where the value did not exceed 65 and 12 where the value did not exceed per ton the amendment to the tariff which became effective december 10 provided that on ore valued at not to exceed 60 per ton the rate should be 8 on carload lots of not less than pounds these new rates are eff effective active from spokane wash wardner osburn wallace gem frisco burke and mullan idaho the roads making the rates are the 0 R N oregon short line colorado midland denver rio grande atchison topeka santa fe and colorado southern spokes man review spokane wash |
