greeted by old time f friends professor marcus E jones has just returned from an extended trip of miles by rail to old mexico going by way of san francisco and los angeles to the mineral region around tuscon ariz where he made extensive studies of the geology of the santa rita huachuca Hua chuca and catalina mountains he was especially interested in the mines around vail while there are large deposits of copper and silver lead ores he also studied the floritys Flo ritas mountains of new mexico near deming passing through el paso tex he went into the sierra madre mountains of old mexico in the midst of the mormon colonies of colonia juanez garcia and Chui chupa in tho the state of chihuahua this is an ideal stock and lumbering region to feet above the sea mostly covered by immense pine
