in town monday from marysvale Marys vale he says the company has quite a force of men at work and that veins have been struck in three shafts at depths oi of thirty five forty and forty five feet the mineralized rock sprinkled with galena is said to have been encountered on the contact which the company has been driving to cut the property is located about two miles north of midway moab times nick dearcy is busy at the head of mill creek getting the properties in shape that he and other cripple creek prospectors located five years ago and did so much work on it is the intention of the prospectors who made mill creek lively for several years to be back in the early spring with large additions to their force moab times mr mccann manager of the derrigo la sal mining company accompanied by mr mcchrystal a well known salt lake mining engineer arrived in camp several days ago mr mcchrystal will look over the properties of the derigo la sal and the international inter national these two companies may be merged into one and hence this trip of an expert maine stockholders of the derigo la sal are expected in any day now to vote on the question of consolidation milford times work on the deaver beaver consolidated shaft was stopped at a depth of feet where a large station will be cut and cross cuts started in two directions the water that comes from this shaft is so strongly impregnated with copper that a pick of shovel placed in it at night will show a coating of the red metal the next morning moab times manager olsen of the tornado company returned from salt lake city the first of the week where he had been for a week in consultation with the directors of the company and arrangements made for the opening up the lead found a few hundred feet and the showing is so promising that they propose to work it all winter in the bottom of a fifty foot shaft there is fourteen inches of ore that carries sixty ounces in silver and several dollars in the improvement pro of the tunnel this shipment averages forty four ounces of silver per cent lead and 1 gold per ton the mill and mine is now in operation again with a full force of men and shipments of first class ore and concentrates will go forward regularly regular y the big operating tunnel is now in splendid shape heavy rails have been laid new switches put in the grades leveled and everything fixed so as to handle a large amount of ore with the least labor T there ere will be no tro trouble lible hereafter in keeping the big mill supplied with ore richfield reaper the recent development in the neighborhood of the lone tree property on the fish creek side of gold mountain has spurred H W the principal owner to do something A force of men is to be put on this week and it is proposed to extend the tunnel which is now in a distance of feet feet farther when it is expected that a big vein will be tapped the lone tree adjoins the deer park property on the south and the west the deer park is the property that W F snyder and associates secured a couple of weeks ago for the holland people and is all that lies between the lone tree and the sevier the lone tree has an ideal location according to the lay of the country for a big mine and mr is now going after something richfield reaper the L N property near marydale marysvale Marys Mary vale has been bonded by the owners hayes orrock nielson and others to the franklin syndicate the sum being the bonders are to begin work at once for the further development of the property the L N has been pronounced by those who have investigated it to be one of the most promising propositions on gold mountain some experienced mining men have declared that it will be one of the giants there is no doubt that it is a valuable property and the systematic way in which the franklin people go at the development of the propositions they got control of is sufficient guarantee that it will be put into the proper condition as soon as men and means can get it there this acquisition gives the franklin syndicate a big hold on this territory and it is safe to predict that they will be uncovering uncover ng something sensational
