and day tearing down and driving through auxiliary sluices the rich gravel of the bank on both sides of the canyon two other new hydraulic mines that will add materially to next years output of placer gold from the southern oregon m mining in district are being equipped and made ready in the steamboat district steamboat has always been regarded as a very remote district it has been known to possess rich kich placer fields for many years but acres of rich gravel and will start three giants to work upon it this winter or with the arrival of the rains at present they have a crew of twenty men over the property these people are now seriously considering the proposition of taking up the blue ledge in the way of developing the english syndicate will not be the only big company operating in
