Show THE B W H MINE richfield reaper the B W H mine is making a fine showing this week and a new vein just discovered promises to make it one of the best paying properties in the gold mountain district george L betts a salt lake mining man visited the property something over two weeks ago in company with J I 1 E dark clark and J M barlow he was not satisfied that he understood the formation there so he returned and spent all of the past week at the diggings while he was there superintendent billings put a force of men to work on a body of ore recently found on the surface feet above tunnel no 2 when he left wednesday they were into the vein five feet and had not reached the hanging wall in this crosscutting cross cutting there had been sixty three sacks of shipping ore taken out hans gottfredson was up to the properties some days since and he took eight samples from the surface of the vein which is there twelve feet across and assayed them and they went from to being an average of about 75 per ton at the slightly greater depth where the crosscut cross cut is being made the ore carries still greater values mr betts says that there is no reason why before winter is past there should not be from one to two carloads of ore sent from the mine each week he frankly admits that he did not feel encouraged when he left the mine after his previous visit but he lilies likes it now and thinks his stock worth a full dollar a share without caring to part with it at that heretofore the B W H has been working on some small seams of very rich ore shipping a carload north every month or two to market this ore has paid all expenses of the work that has been done but the bodies were so small that it was severely questioned as to whether it would ever be large enough to make a real mine those who are interested in the management now feel that they have the main vein and believe that the others are feeders |
