| Show ir STREAM TIN SHOWING IN NEVADA there is a region near the lines dividing humboldt lander and elko counties where tin has been discovered in several places tin is now worth about 65 cents a pound a low price for the metal so that a ton would represent about 1280 relates the humboldt star several years ago tin was discovered at hill in humbo humboldt idt county then being operated by th the e mason valley mines company some of the tin ore was of high grade but it was associated with copper and occurred in bunches however from the best information obtainable very little work was done with proper development it is possible that payable quantities could be unearthed j 1 stream tin it has been known for some time exists on j i 11 the izenhood mesa fifteen or twenty miles south of the gold A jC circle ircle district and there is a specimen of it in the humboldt 1 I mineral exhibit at the state building that probably con j bains sixty per cent of the metal A A dufer who is in char charge ge of the humboldt county mineral exhibit says that ganv specimens of or the tin have been exhibited and that he be has been shown several as large as a walnut so far as is known very little has been done to determine whether the tin is there in sufficient quantities to ake it pay as a placer proposition |
